circa 1876, 30in. nitro reproved bold damascus barrels, the rib engraved 'E.M. REILLY & CO. NEW OXFORD STREET LONDON & RUE SCRIBE PARIS',(likely refreshed), 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, wall thicknesses below recommended minimum, elongated rounded bar action with Purdey double-bite snap underlever, patent no. 1104 of 1863, use number 4259, carved percussion fences with button strikers, rebounding sidelocks, push forward underlever with olive shaped horn bead, fine border and acanthus scroll engraving, brushed bright finish, 14 1/2in. figured stock including horn buttplate, fore-end with Scott 'key' release, weight 6lb. 7oz.
